Requesting video

To help review incidents and solve crimes, you can use the Genetec Clearance™ camera registry to rapidly identify camera sources of interest and request video from businesses or public safety organizations with devices near the incident location.

What you should know

  • Organizations can invite users to submit video requests.
  • Guest users can also submit video requests if they have been assigned the request videos privilege and have been invited to submit video requests.

To submit a video request:

  1. Click Camera registry ().
  2. Select one or more cameras that you require and click Request video or Request all videos.
  3. In the From and To fields, enter the date and time range that you require.
NOTE: The maximum time range that you can select is 2 hours or 120 minutes.
  4. (Optional) To associate videos with an existing case, click Select case and select the case you require.
NOTE: You can only link videos to cases you already have permission to access. This permission level remains unchanged after the video request approval. If you do not select a case, the system creates one for you.
  5. Click Next.
  6. If a Video Request form is displayed, complete the fields.
