About the Axis body worn system
The Axis body worn system is composed of cameras, the system controller, docks, and, optionally, card readers.
Important note
Create user accounts intended for use with Axis body worn cameras inside the Axis W800 Body-worn system controller to ensure proper synchronization with Clearance. Do not create these users within Genetec Clearance™.
The system controller synchronizes users to Clearance. If the email address associated with the user account created in the system controller already exists in Clearance, the system cannot create or synchronize that user. If a user that you want to associate with an Axis body worn camera already exists inside Clearance, create an additional account inside the system controller for body worn use. These user accounts must have unique email addresses.
Axis body worn system components
The system includes the following components:
- Cameras
- The following cameras are supported through the integration:
- W100
- W101
- W110
- W111
- W120
- System controller
- The W800 system controller assigns cameras to users and transfers recordings to your Clearance account.
- Dock
- Docks are available in single or 8-port versions.
- Card reader
- Card readers can be used to support self-assigned tags.
Clearance licensing
Each Axis body worn camera connecting to Clearance requires a connection license.
