Configuring i-PRO BWC 4000 body-worn cameras

Before you can add an i-PRO BWC 4000 to Clearance, you must configure the i-PRO BWC 4000 camera settings.

Before you begin

The minimum i-PRO BWC 4000 firmware version is 1700M02. Ensure that you are using this version or a later one.

Procedure

  1. Dock the BWC 4000 in the docking station.
  2. Download the i-PRO BWC configuration tool.
  3. In the BWC configuration tool, define a user name and password.
  4. Ensure that the BWC 4000 is powered on using the switch on the rear of the unit.
  5. Ensure that the MDC dock is set to HOME using the dip on the bottom of the unit.
  6. Wire the device into the network.
  7. From the BWC configuration tool, click BWC connection and then record the serial number of the BWC 4000.
    Note:
    If the BWC 4000 is not detected, contact your IT team for support on assigning temporary IP addresses.

  8. Select the BWC 4000 and, from the Update tab, select the firmware for the BWC.

  9. Navigate to the Operation tab and synchronize the BWC 4000's clock to your computer's time by clicking Execute.
