Adding i-PRO BWC 4000 body-worn cameras

Before you can upload video to Clearance with an i-PRO BWC 4000, you must add the i-PRO BWC 4000 in Clearance by docking the camera in a docking station connected to your system and authenticating it with Clearance.

Before you begin

Configure your i-PRO BWC 4000 cameras.
Note:
The following prerequisites apply when registering i-PRO body-worn cameras:
  • You must have an active internet connection.
  • You must be a member of the Manage devices security policy.

What you should know

  • The i-PRO BWC 4000 must not be enrolled in any other systems.
  • The i-PRO BWC 4000 camera must be authenticated before you can upload video from it.

Procedure

To add i-PRO users who can manage i-PRO user account credentials:
  1. Click Configurations > Device policies .
  2. Click Add () and add yourself to the policy.
  3. Set an i-PRO BWC account password.

To add an i-PRO BWC 4000:
  1. Ensure that the camera is docked in the docking station.
  2. Click Configurations > Devices .
  3. Click Create device.
  4. Enter a name for the camera, its serial number, and specify the manufacturer and model.

    Note:
    Ensure that the serial number shown here matches the serial number as shown in the BWC configuration tool.
  5. Click Save.
    The body-worn camera is created.

  6. Log in to the BWC 4000 configuration tool.
  7. From the Credentials section, click Regenerate credentials ().
  8. From the i-PRO BWC configuration tool, click Edit ().

  9. Navigate to the Officer info page and enter your Clearance i-PRO user account credentials that you defined in the Devices policies page in Clearance.

  10. From the Edit configuration file window, click the Evidence server tab.
  11. In the System Mode section, select CloUDE.
  12. Copy the Server, Port, Username, CustomerID, and Password from the device page in Clearance to the Evidence Server in the i-PRO BWC Configuration Tool.

  13. Click Save.
  14. From Clearance, click Activate device.
  15. From the BWC configuration tool, navigate to the Device page and then to the Operation tab and disconnect the device.

  16. (Optional) In the Device group field, select a group to include the device in.
    Note:
    Device groups are used to manage the firmware version for groups of devices.
The i-PRO BWC 4000 body-worn camera can now upload recorded video to Clearance.
