Defining security policies

In Genetec Clearance™, system administrators can define security policies to control access for users and groups.

What you should know

You can manage security policies by user or by groups.

Procedure

  1. Click Configurations > Security policies .
  2. In your security policies section of choice, click > Add existing groups or users .
  3. Select which users or groups you want to grant access to, and click Add.
    To remove a user or group, click next to their name.
  4. If applicable, grant users and user groups appropriate permission levels:
    • View only
    • View and download
    • Edit
    • Manage
  5. Click Save.
    Note: You can also assign these privileges when you create or edit users and groups.
